The College of Liberal Arts' University Forum lecture series presents The Science of Stories and Stories about Science a talk by Emma Frances Bloomfield, Assistant Professor of Communication Studies, UNLV.

This presentation examines how science and storytelling contribute to how people learn and think. People often use stories to communicate and make sense of reality, but science communication is often mostly informational and impersonal. By examining climate change, evolution, and vaccines, this presentation evaluates the science of stories and explores how incorporating stories into science communication can be a productive solution to public skepticism and resistance.
