University Forum: Machiavelli and the Modern Republic
The College of Liberal Arts' University Forum lecture series presents "Machiavelli and the Invention of the Modern Republic" a talk by Wayne Rebhorn, Professor of English, University of Texas at Austin.
Renaissance thinker Machiavelli is considered by some to be the father of modern political science. This lecture will illustrate how Machiavelli should also be credited with the invention of the modern republic.
