Description
The College of Liberal Arts' University Forum Lecture Series presents "The Stories People Play: Video Games, Digital Storytelling, and Player Agency," a talk by Amy Green, assistant professor-in-residence, Department of English, UNLV.
Dr. Green will explore the unique characteristics of digital storytelling in video games. Because of the inherently immersive and participatory nature of video games, their narratives function in ways that are fundamentally different from written and oral stories. This dynamic presentation will ask compelling questions about the very nature of what we mean by the words "story" and "narrative".
