University Forum Lecture - Slippery: Hip Hop Studies
The College of Liberal Arts' University Forum Lecture series presents "Slippery: Hip Hop Studies" a talk by Jody Lykes, Hip Hop Scholar, University of Nevada, Reno.
The goal of this lecture is to engage the audience in discussion about topics relevant to our lives using Hip Hop music. Knowledge of self will be addressed as a Hip Hop aesthetic, most relevant to the way we learn and the knowledge taught in the classroom.
Dialogue is paramount to the success of this moment. Please don’t expect to sit still. Participants should expect to hear some thump, and in the boldest of senses, participate in the discussion.
This event is free and open to the public.
Sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Liberal Arts' Dean's Leadership Board, and the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art.
