Description
The College of Liberal Arts’ University Forum Lecture Series presents Lincoln and the Crisis of American Identity, a talk by James Piereson, senior fellow, Manhattan Institute for Policy Research.
Abraham Lincoln is perhaps the central figure in the unfolding epic of the American nation. Unpolished and unschooled, he managed to overcome a conflict that threatened the existence of a people, and he did so with a rhetorical mastery that no other American political figure has come close to matching.
