The College of Liberal Arts’ University Forum Lecture Series presents Bridging History and Modernity in Contemporary Ethiopian Art, a talk by Eyayu Genet, lecturer, department of architecture, Bahir Dar University, Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.

Eyayu Genet is an Ethiopian artist who highlights the rich interconnections between traditional culture and modern development. Eyayu will explain the inspiration behind his vivid and expressive paintings while taking the audience on a virtual tour, and describe the role of his work in the broader contemporary Ethiopian art movement.
