Description

The College of Liberal Arts' University Forum lecture series presents I Follow the Flame Bird: A Tropical Birding Adventure a talk by Stephen G. Brown, Barrick Scholar, Professor of English, UNLV.

This presentation will take you on a captivating visual odyssey of Costa Rica’s exotic flora and fauna, focusing primarily on its flame birds of the rainforest. The images are enlivened with a colorful anecdotal narrative that highlights this birding adventure. The intent throughout is to provide a cautionary tale as entertaining as it is educational, by heightening the audience’s awareness not only of these species life-cycle, but the impacts imperiling their existence.
