The College of Liberal Arts' University Forum lecture series presents "The Fourteenth Amendment and the Reconstruction of Rights after the Civil War" a talk by Laura F. Edwards, Peabody Family Professor of History, Duke University.
This Constitution Day lecture explores the importance of Americans’ engagement with the 14th Amendment, focusing on their efforts to extend the definition of rights, to demand federal government enforcement, and to make law accountable to them.
