Description

Drafting an abstract, annotating, and proper citation are all fundamentals of the research process. In this workshop, students still cover the multitude of roles the abstract serves in accommodating a research manuscript. In addition, students will learn about annotating skills and how best to retain crucial information found in reading material. Finally, students will also learn about common citation styles throughout the various academic disciplines.

Learning Objectives

By participating in this workshop you will:

  • Understand the purpose of an abstract
  • Learn how to strategically annotate and retain crucial information pertinent to your research
  • Learn commonly used citation styles
