Have you ever wondered how to ensure academic integrity in an online class? This workshop introduces the best practices instructors can adopt to promote academic integrity and reduce opportunities for academic misconduct in their online classes. A brief overview of online proctoring will also be provided.

Workshop participants are invited to bring their cell phones.

OBJECTIVES:

Instructors completing this workshop will be able to:

  • Describe the pros and cons of holding proctored exams in an online course, as well as the instructor’s responsibilities.

  • Determine steps they can take to address academic integrity in their online courses.

  • Develop pedagogical strategies to reduce academic misconduct in their online courses.
