Teach Online: Making a Course Your Own
When
Campus Location
Office/Remote Location
Room 101
Description
Learn best practices for teaching an online course that someone else developed. Sometimes instructors are assigned to teach a course that was developed by another faculty member or subject matter expert. For many instructors it can be uncomfortable to teach someone else’s course materials. Many online classes have a master course that is specifically designed to ensure student achievement of course learning objectives. Learn how to make a course your own without reinventing wheel or changing the design of a master course.
OBJECTIVES
Instructors completing this workshop will be able to:
- Employ best practices for teaching a master course
- Assess the design existing course materials
- Personalize their delivery of a master course while following an instructor guide.
