Description
Learn how to engage students effectively in your online classes. Interaction is the essence of teaching and learning online; and it can also be one of the biggest challenges for online instructors. This workshop will introduce Conrad & Donaldson's ‘Phases of Engagement’ and address the challenges of engagement and interaction in teaching and learning online.
OBJECTIVES
Instructors completing this workshop will be able to:

Assess the design of an online course for student engagement and interaction.

Apply the phases of engagement to their own online classes.

Consider strategies for facilitating student interaction in online discussions.
