Learn how to engage students effectively in your online classes. Interaction is the essence of teaching and learning online; and it can also be one of the biggest challenges for online instructors. This workshop will introduce Conrad & Donaldson's ‘Phases of Engagement’ and address the challenges of engagement and interaction in teaching and learning online.
OBJECTIVES
Instructors completing this workshop will be able to:
- Assess the design of an online course for student engagement and interaction.
- Apply the phases of engagement to their own online classes.
- Consider strategies for facilitating student interaction in online discussions.
