Teach Online: Creating Lightboard Lectures
When
Campus Location
Office/Remote Location
Description
Do your lectures often require symbols, diagrams, formulas, and/or annotations to help explain complex concepts? Explore using our lightboard studio for your online course development in this hands-on workshop.
Delivering online lectures with a lightboard allows an instructor to speak facing the camera at the same time they write on a transparent board. This presentation technique emulates the experience of a live lecture. At UNLV lightboard lectures have been used in online courses from STEM disciplines to foreign language disciplines.
Objectives
Instructors completing this workshop will be able to:
-
Discuss the pros and cons of recording a lecture in the lightboard studio.
-
Prepare to record a lecture in the lightboard studio.
