Tonie Hansen, Sr. Director, Corporate Social Responsibility, NVIDIA
Tonie oversees corporate social responsibility, a function she helped to build since starting at NVIDIA in 2006. As a strategist and communicator, she partners with executives to identify NVIDIA’s social and environmental risks and opportunities, engages with shareholders, NGOs, and customers to communicate the company’s CSR progress, and leverages strong CSR results to strengthen NVIDIA’s brand reputation.
She’s been an active voice in developing strategies and programs for NVIDIA’s diversity and inclusion effort, and is founder and advisor to the company’s women in tech group. Tonie also leads NVIDIA’s charitable foundation, which engages 13,000 global employees to give back in the ways that most inspire them. Her efforts have garnered NVIDIA inclusion in several CSR recognitions such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, The JUST100, FTSE4Good, the Corporate Equality Index, and Bloomberg’s Gender Equality Index.
Prior to joining NVIDIA, she spent 15 years in a variety of marketing roles at tech startups and in corporate events sales and marketing. She earned her MBA in 2000 from Babson College, and has been recognized by CRO Magazine as a CR Superstar and by the Silicon Valley Business Journal as a Women of Influence. She currently serves as vice president of the board of the YWCA Silicon Valley.
