Description

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a local call to action for our campuses. Bystanders are always the first people that can assist during an emergency. The minutes waiting for an emergency responder to arrive can be the difference between life and death; so, it is critical for those nearest to be able to assist.

Risk Management and Safety (RMS) will be deploying 105 Stop the Bleed kits at most AED stations located at UNLV Maryland Campus, Shadow Lane Campus and at Nevada State College. Knowing how to use these kits will help students, staff and faculty Be RebelSAFE and may save a life!

RMS will be hosting a Stop the Bleed training class on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., in Student Union (SU), Room 208C. Training is free, but the experience is invaluable! Learn how to use these kits and register for this training by contacting Corey Boynak (corey.boynak@unlv.edu) or Vanessa Hogan (vanessa.hogan@unlv.edu) today.
