Description

Become a part of the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2017! Support the team and invite your students to learn more about this exciting, campus-wide project.

The Solar Decathlon is a net-zero home design-build competition encompassing an interdisciplinary approach in which students work together to design and build a home for the future.

In 2013, UNLV took second place overall and was the top finishing U.S. team, leading other prestigious institutions such as Stanford and USC. For the 2017 competition, the new team is incorporating health and wellness considerations for the aging populations into the design of this solar home, and aiming to win the $300,000 grand prize!

The 2017 Solar Decathlon Team needs your help! Join us April 8 to find out more about this exciting project.
