Carl B. Schmidt, Professor Emeritus of Music History and Culture, Towson University, will discuss the choral works of the great American composer Randall Thompson (1899–1984). Thompson's compositions stand among the best known and most loved in the repertoires of American choirs. The seminar will conclude with a performance of one of Thompson's works.
