Description

What is the difference between a grant, a gift, and a sponsored project?

For starters, they are managed by two different departments: UNLV’s Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) in the Division of Research, and Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) in the Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement. However, there is often a lot of grey area in making these determinations. In this workshop, you’ll learn more about OSP and CFR, how they work together, and how their roles are unique in helping secure investments in UNLV’s mission of education, research, and outreach.

Join CFR’s Senior Director Emily Irwin, OSP’s Executive Director Lori Ciccone, and members of their teams to help you better understand the ways these critical departments collaborate, how they differ, and how they are positioned to help secure funding and partnership for your work.
