Science Café Las Vegas: Jefferson Kinney
Jefferson Kinney, associate professor in the UNLV Department of Psychology, will speak at an upcoming Science Café Las Vegas. His talk is titled, "Investigations of Alzheimer's disease pathology and potential therapeutics."
Our research is primarily focused on understanding the mechanisms responsible for the onset and progression of Alzheimer’s disease. In our projects, we specifically focus on how the pathology of Alzheimer’s disease develops with particular emphasis on inflammatory signaling in the brain. These same projects are directed at identifying therapeutic targets for the treatment of AD.
Come join others for a lively science discussion, delicious food, and fun. Come at 6:30 p.m. to order your food and mingle. Those under 21 are welcome.
Admission is free and open to the public. Food and drink will not be provided. Any food or drink ordered is paid for separately by each attendee.
