Bring a brown bag lunch and enjoy a free film screening this Friday!

The School of Music Film Series presents Yojimbo, directed by Kurosawa Akira, with a score by Sato Masaru. This jidaigeki film tells the story of a rōnin, portrayed by Toshiro Mifune, who arrives in a small town where competing crime lords vie for supremacy.

Richard Miller (assistant professor in residence, music) will provide a pre-screening talk about the score by Sato Masaru, a student of Hayasaka Fumio, who also scored Kurosawa films (notably Seven Samurai).
