Robot Automation for Dance (RAD) Hackathon
The UNLV Office of Economic Development and UNLV International Gaming Institute are teaming up with Core Academy, powered by the Rogers Foundation, for a robotics-centered hackathon with a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) focus. This event will enable 25 local Las Vegas high school students to work in teams of 5 to learn about robotic mechanics, hardware, and software prior to the hackathon, then present a true Las Vegas dance performance at the hackathon with a robot they have programmed. The top three teams will be rewarded with RAD prizes.
- 3-3:30 p.m.: UNLV professors present.
- 3:30-4 p.m.: Students present and judges select winners.
- 4-5 p.m.: Students receive awards at a celebratory mixer.
This event is free and open to UNLV students, faculty, staff and the community.
