Description

As states continue to legalize sports wagering, more tribes are seeking legal, fiscal, and regulatory clarity on whether and how to build out their business models and operational capacity to open sports books or offer mobile wagering.

This free webinar series from the ICGR features original research from tribal gaming experts and ICGR Distinguished Senior Fellows Kathryn Rand and Steven Light. This discussion will provide an overview of the primary developments in tribal sports wagering on a national level, as well as a state-specific exploration of recent events in Arizona.

Participants can expect to learn:

  • The latest ICGR research on tribal sports wagering
  • The data, categories, and metrics that are useful in identifying emerging practices in tribal sports betting
  • Three key emerging practices in tribal sports betting
  • State-specific examples of applicable sports betting regulation
  • Three open questions about the outlook of the industry

This free series is developed as an extension of the ICGR’s White Paper Series on the Regulation of Tribal Sports Wagering, research the ICGR commissioned to address the question of how tribally owned and operated sports books are being regulated for key markets in states that have legalized sports wagering.

The research, white papers, and webinar series are products of the ICGR’s mission to identify best practices for the gaming industry.
