Rebels R.I.S.E. encourages UNLV students to rise above obstacles and uncertainty and reflect personally, increase their involvement on campus, seek scholarly activities and expand their engagement within the community.

The 4th annual event is hosted each fall by UNLV's Academic Advising.

The keynote address will be given by Andrew Jenks, and in addition the Rebels R.I.S.E. event will include:

  • UNLV Career Panel: Various individuals will answer career related questions submitted by UNLV students.
  • Sophomore Pinning Ceremony: Sophomores will be recognized for making it to their second year, and they will be encouraged to continue persisting at UNLV.
  • Resource Fair: Various offices will have tables at the Resource Fair to answer questions students may have, and encourage students to get involved.
  • Food Drive: In an effort to promote civic engagement, students will be encouraged to participate in a food drive to support the UNLV Cares Food Pantry. Food collection will take place upon entry to the event.
