Description

The title Black History (or African American) limits our learning capacity for U.S. history. History as we learned it in 8th grade, 10th grade, and as a college freshman was limited. But when it becomes inclusive, it soars. Can you imagine an even more uplifting history lesson with Native Americans, Latinx, and Asian Pacific Islanders included? Join us as Claytee White explores a more inclusive perspective in recognizing/celebrating history month.

Presenter: Claytee D. White, Director Oral History Research Center at UNLV Libraries

Expertise: African Americans in Las Vegas, The Art of Collecting Oral Histories, Oral History Workshops

Price

$10 per person, includes program, parking, and lunch
