Join us on Fri., Feb. 10, for a free virtual interactive presentation, ”An Anthropologist Goes Looking for Love in All the Old Places,” presented by William Jankowiak. Professor Jankowiak will provide an overview of his journey to understand what love is and how it has shaped the human experience. He will present highlights from his research of a fundamentalist polygamous north China community and discuss how that research informs our understanding of love. The presentation will wrap up with a critique of polygamous (plural) love vs. dyadic (two-person) love and discuss why some movements are doomed to fail, only to be reinvented in the future.
