Description
On Monday, Oct. 28, at 4 p.m. a special panel event will be held at UNLV on "Promoting the Health and Wellbeing of Sexual and Gender Minorities (SGM) and improving their Access to and Quality of Health Care." The panel discussion will identify how stigma, stress, and discrimination result in physical and mental health disparities as well as reduced access to and quality of health care for SGM. The panelists will also present strategies to overcome health disparities and to provide holistic, quality health care for SGM. Following the panel discussion there will be a meet and greet with the panelists.
