POSTPONED: POKER to the MAX
Max Amini is LIVE in Las Vegas.
Max is an Iranian-American Actor, Comedian, and Producer. He was born in Tuscon, Arizona and raised in Washington D.C. From an early age, Max showed signs of exceptional talent for Acting and Comedy. In his late teens and in pursuit of a professional career in Entertainment, he moved to Los Angeles, California and graduated from UCLA’s school of Theater, Film and Television in 2004. As an actor, Max has over 50 film and television credits, including NBC’s Heroes, regular appearances on Comedy Central’s Mind of Mencia, leading role in the feature film Beyond Paradise, and a recurring role in the Netflix series Real Rob with Rob Schneider.
While in college, Max launched his stand-up comedy career in 2002. He quickly built a reputation as one of the fastest growing comedians in the comedy circuit. In 2006, he got his residency at the world-famous Laugh Factory in Hollywood. Shortly after, he embarked on a journey for his first comedy tour: “Exotic Imports." He has since taken his tours internationally, selling out state of the art theatres around the world in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Europe and the Middle East. To accommodate his growing fan base, Max often adds additional shows to his world tours. His online presence also persists, and his YouTube channel has garnered over 10 million views as of today, making him one of the most influential figures of this age.
Through an array of eccentric impressions and novel storytelling, Max’s comedy delivers a strong message about family ties, cultural trappings, and social topics. However, what really sets him apart is his uncanny ability to improvise on the spot.
Most recently, Max was chosen to be the Master of Ceremonies for the 10th annual Los Angeles Freedom Festival--an event with over 75,000 in attendance for the unveiling of a new public work of art. Dedicated to the people of Los Angeles, the ‘Freedom Sculpture’ represents freedom, diversity, and inclusivity.
In 2010, Max established his own production company, “Abstraction Media Inc.,” and he has since been telling stories of his own on the big screen. He has produced numerous TV shows and, in 2018, made his first feature film directorial debut titled James The Second.
