Description

These performances mark a unique collaborative partnership between the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art and UNLV’s departments of World Literature (English) and Dance. Combining a study of four foundational stories from different cultures with an analysis of artworks from the Barrick’s current exhibitions, the dance and literature students have created a series of visual explorations that incorporate both oral storytelling and movement-based expression.

Join us on April 25 & 27 from 1-2 p.m. to see their interpretations of India’s Ramayana, China’s Monkey: Journey to the West, Ethiopia’s Kebra Nagast, and the Divine Comedy of Italy.
