Full time faculty are invited to explore the possibilities and benefits of combining research with online/hybrid teaching and learning.

Chris Ditzler will discuss several examples of research investigating online/hybrid teaching and learning using the student data in the online course. Wonjoon Hong will briefly present his research conducted based on a learning analytics approach using a learning management system (LMS). The tools for online teaching research are easily available within your course.

Participants will have an opportunity to brainstorm research questions and possible approaches. This session will also provide an overview of the Office of Online Education’s Digital Teaching and Learning Summer Fellowship.

The Office of Online Education aspires to actively contribute to the evolution of online teaching and learning at UNLV. We hope that you will join us on October 8 to learn more about using Webcampus data for research as a means of planting two trees with one seed.
