Ombuds Day Conflict Styles Interactive Roleplay
In cooperation with the Faculty Center, the Ombuds Office is proud to announce that it will celebrate Ombuds Day, October 13, 2022, with an exciting and educational event that is open to all UNLV students and employees.
Ombuds Day is an annual day of recognition for the ombuds profession organized by the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution. This year, the theme of Ombuds Day is "Ombuds: Resilience, Respect, Resolve." In keeping with this theme, UNLV's Ombuds, David G. Schwartz, will host an interactive workshop on conflict styles
Prior to the 75-minute session, registrants will complete an online survey instrument that will provide insight into their own conflict style. With this knowledge in hand, participants will explore the impact that different styles can exacerbate and de-escalate conflict by taking part in role-play activities.
Ombuds Day takes place during a week of events and activities designed to raise awareness of the Ombuds Office at UNLV.
