The campus will host a number of Oct. 1 anniversary events, including:

Remembrance Ceremony

UNLV Acting President Marta Meana will lead the event with a special performance in honor of those impacted by the tragedy.

In Remembrance of October 1 Silent Savasana

Silent Savasana is a powerful yoga movement offering a memorable, playful and inspiring version of yoga that infuses the practice, community and music into each event, allowing for a distinctive and personal journey through the modalities of spoken word, music and meditation.

Therapy Dogs

The University Libraries and Love Dog Adventures will have therapy dogs available for UNLV students, faculty, and staff.

Who Are We and How Do We Heal?

A University Forum lecture by UNLV professor Erika Gisela Abad on an interactive art installation at the Barrick Museum.

The Remembering 1 October Project

A panel discussion with victims and responders who are part of the UNLV Oral History Research Center project.

Oct. 5-Nov. 5

The Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art and the UNLV Public History program will open its annual Day of the Dead ofrenda on Oct. 1, 2018, in recognition of the ongoing repercussions of the shooting in 2017. It will be on display through Nov. 5.
