NIPM Seminar: Dr. Peng Li, National Institutes of Health

Feb. 26, 2016, 2:30pm to 3:30pm

Office/Remote Location

Room 1243

The Nevada Institute of Personalized Medicine invites you to attend a seminar by Dr. Li who is a staff scientist at the Laboratory of Molecular Immunology at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.

Li's current research included the following two areas: To adapt and develop novel bioinformatics algorithms, methods or tools to examine comprehensive mechanisms underlying co-regulation of different transcription factors in various immune cells and cancer cells; To elucidate the roles of transcription factors, non-coding RNAs, chromatin accessibility, and distal chromatin interactions in influencing gene transcription in a cell type specific manner.

His ultimate research goals are directed toward understanding the fundamental mechanisms controlling gene expressions and transcriptional regulations of gene networks and discovering the causal genes of immune-related or other Mendelian diseases.
