Join former researcher at the National Institutes of Health and new professor and Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Chair Francisco S. Sy, MD, DrPH for three free seminars on navigating the NIH and securing funding opportunities.

In Dr. Sy’s first seminar, you will discover the mission, priorities, and budget of the National Institute of Health; understand the NIH extramural team, the grant funding process, and the available research and training resources; and find Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) and identify all elements required to submit a responsive, compliant, and complete grant application.

About Francisco S. Sy, MD, DrPH

At the NIH, Dr. Francisco S. Sy, MD, DrPH was a senior program director and AIDS coordinator in the Division of Extramural Scientific Programs at the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD). In his 12 years at NIH/NIMHD, he served in various leadership positions including director of the Office of Community-Based Participatory Research & Collaboration, director of the Office of Extramural Research Administration, and director of the Division of Extramural Activities & Scientific Programs.
