Beginning Monday, Jan. 3, your New Graduate Student Orientation modules will be available in your WebCampus/Canvas account. These are short, informative, and engaging videos and activities to help successfully onboard you into graduate school at UNLV this year. To prepare you for life as a UNLV graduate student, you are required to log in, view the modules, and complete the tasks by Wednesday, Feb. 2.
New Graduate Student Orientation will ease your transition into graduate study at UNLV. Graduate College staff will present policies and procedures and address issues and concerns that new graduate students may face. The Graduate College orientation also covers information about a number of financial and other campus resources that are available for free to UNLV graduate students. Drawing upon many years of experience with new graduate students and the common issues and questions that they have, we’ve developed an orientation that’s tailored and informative.
Please note that many graduate programs host onboarding events and orientations. As a graduate student, you matriculate through your own program mentored by your faculty; but you are also a student of the Graduate College, so you’ll need to complete both orientations in order to get all the information you need to be most successful.
