Two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage weaves a heartwarming memory play in this 1950 story of a young Ernestine Crump and her family. Shortly after the death of the family matriarch, they travel north from Florida to Brooklyn, New York. There, they must adjust to a new world and grapple with the many changes facing their family and the world around them.
