Networking for Engineers
If you are an engineer trying to expand your networks and make an impact on technology, you are better off starting with the people you know. Understanding the importance of networking will help you expand your sphere of influence and excel in your embedded systems engineering career.
Presenter: Jaffer Almosawy is a licensed Professional Engineer with GCW’s Water/Wastewater division and has over 8 years of experience. He graduated from UNLV in 2013 with his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Jaffer has been very involved with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and is currently serving as the Chair and Western Geographic Member of ASCE’s Committee on Younger Members. He has received national recognition for his achievements within the civil engineering profession and was named one of ASCE’s 2018 New Faces of Civil Engineering and locally was also named ASCE Southern Nevada Branch’s 2018 Young Engineer of the Year. Some of the things Jaffer enjoys include traveling, coffee shops, Korean BBQ, and the LA Lakers. He would also like you to know that he is the creator of the infamous hashtag #ASCEMADEME which has been used on thousands of posts on Instagram.
