Navy Civil Engineer Corp (CEC) are the Navy's facility experts in charge of engineering, management, planning, construction and maintenance of the Navy's shore infrastructure.

From the very beginning, CEC Officers obtain engineering management and leadership experience far exceeding that offered by a private firm. As a CEC Officer you have opportunities to work in any or all three of the following areas around the world:

  • Contract Management
  • Facilities Management
  • Expeditionary Engineering

Civil Engineer Collegiate Program & Eligibility:

While completing undergraduate or even graduate school you may apply. This is not NROTC. No military classes until after you graduate. You are paid E-3 while completing school. Only duties while in school are to maintain a cumulative 2.7 GPA and complete a PT test twice per year.

  • Within 18-24 months from graduation
  • 19-24 years old
  • 3.0 GPA Minimum to apply
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Enrolled in an ABET-EAC Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) or NAAB Architecture Degree Program
  • Internships/CO-OPs a plus
  • EIT/NCARB a plus

Whether you decide to stay in or serve your 4 years obligation and transition to the civilian sector you will have unparalleled engineering & leadership experience to your peers in the private sector.
