In addition to the ordinary stress that comes with navigating graduate school, students are now facing unprecedented overlapping social and health crises. During challenging times, it is important to take extra time to take care of ourselves. This workshop will review the importance of mental and emotional health; and the effect it can have on your academic success. More importantly, it will introduce habits and strategies to maintaining mental and emotional health.

By participating in this workshop you will:

  • Learn about the multiple aspects of wellness
  • Identify stressors
  • Identify campus resources available to help enhance your physical, emotional, spiritual, social, occupational, environmental, and intellectual well-being
  • Learn how to become aware of signs that fellow students are struggling
  • Obtain strategies to practice mindful relaxation and release
