Description

Join the Office of Student Diversity & Social Justice and President Keith Whitfield to discuss healthy coping mechanisms within the African diaspora. Health disparities in African Americans are driven in part by the stress experienced from lifetime experiences of inequities and discrimination. Coping strategies are a means to buffer these effects. This presentation will include examples of relationships between stress, coping, health, and mental health in adult African Americans.
