Description

Wei Li from Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at University of Miami School of Medicine will be the featured speaker at an upcoming School of Life Sciences seminar. His talk is titled, "Scg3 as a novel target for a new generation of anti-angiogenesis therapy."

Secretogranin III (Scg3) was recently identified as the first highly diseaseselective angiogenic factor by Li's group. The seminar will highlight the uniqueness of Scg3 as a new target for anti-angiogenic therapy of multiple vascular diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, retinopathy of prematurity, wet age-related macular degeneration and cancer.
