Description
Helen Wing, associate professor in the UNLV School of Life Sciences, will be the featured speaker at an upcoming School of Life Sciences seminar. Her talk is titled, "Shifting Paradigms by Studying Sites, Switches and Silencing in the bacterial pathogen Shigella." The abstract is below:
Wing studies the molecular biology of bacteria and is specifically interested in pathogens that cause infectious disease. She will showcase how her team's research is providing new insight into gene regulation in bacteria. Her seminar will describe her NIH-funded research program, highlight productive collaborations across the globe, and describe some of the future questions her research will tackle.
