Description

The Census is you data. Filling out the Census is important but so is knowing about and using the data afterwards.

This workshop for beginners will help participants know what is publicly available on data.census.gov, how to navigate the UI of their website, how to explore the data to access some quick statistics, and how to download data for later use.

We will not cover GIS mapping, policy, or other such advanced topics in this workshop.

This workshop is part of the University Libraries' Civic Engagement Series 2020.
