This NIHAN GGR webinar for healthcare professionals will provide an overview of the physician's role in reporting elder maltreatment. First, the presentation will define maltreatment of elderly people and discuss its signs. Next, it will articulate the responsibility of physicians to report maltreatment. It will then describe the processes and implications of reporting maltreatment in Nevada. This presentation will use hypothetical factual scenarios to demonstrate the application of these concepts.

Max Gakh, is an assistant professor based in the UNLV School of Public Health.
His research centers on the intersection of law, policy, and public health and investigates how legal mechanisms and policies can improve or hinder the health of communities.
