Intersecting Connections: What's Up Now
The Fall 2021 Intersecting Connections (IC) series is designed to provide a monthly platform to discuss, engage, share and interact with members of the UNLV community on issues related to returning, coping, and thriving in the academy. The three sessions are:
- Sept. 17: What's Your New Normal: Defining and re-defining what normal is for you as you return to in-person classes and activities.
- Oct 15: Perfection is Over-Rated: Let's unpack how being perfect is far less important than your mental health and well-being.
- Nov. 12: It Ran in My Family 'til it Ran into Me: Sometimes taking the road less traveled is the road for you.
All sessions will be held on Google Meets at noon.
Intersecting Connections (IC) is a developing and innovative programming initiative created to address various issues that minority students may face at UNLV. The idea for the IC originated from students who continuously requested the same type of assistance, increased information, or targeted resources for mental health.
