Learn how to engage students effectively in your online classes. Interaction is the essence of teaching and learning online. It can also be one of the biggest challenges for online instructors. This workshop will introduce Conrad & Donaldson's ‘Phases of Engagement’ and address the challenges of engagement and interaction in teaching and learning online.

Instructors participating in this workshop will learn to:

  • Assess the design of their online course for student engagement and interaction.
  • Apply the phases of engagement to their own online classes.
  • Consider strategies for facilitating student interaction in online discussions.

UNLV faculty and instructors at all levels of experience teaching online are welcome to attend this face-to-face workshop.
