Inaugural Fine Arts Graduation Ceremony
Students are welcome to attend both the university ceremony on May 14 and the college ceremony on May 15. The commencement ceremony held on May 14, in the Thomas & Mack, is university-wide and will include six colleges so it is a very big event.
The graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 15 will celebrate those students graduating from the College of Fine Arts and because it is limited to the college, it will be a very intimate affair. Since this is our inaugural graduation ceremony, we have numerous things planned for our graduates. We are providing graduation medallions, and stoles, and will have a photographer on-site to take professional graduation photos prior to the ceremony, all of which will be provided at no cost to our graduates.
We are also, for the first time, hooding our M.Arch. and MFA candidates, along with our DMAs.
Immediately following, we will have a small reception on the plaza.
Important Facility Information
While parents and other guests are welcome to bring plastic bottled waters for themselves, flowers (no vases, please) for their graduates, and cameras, please note that other celebratory items such as balloon bouquets, placards, other signs or banners, backpacks, tripods, airhorns, other noisemakers or anything that might obstruct the view of other guests is prohibited. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of all our invited guests and graduates.
