Brookings Mountain West, in partnership with UNLV Office of International Programs, and the University Studies Abroad Constortium (USAC), are pleased to offer a workshop with visiting Brookings Senior Fellow in Foreign Policy, Amanda Sloat: www.brookings.edu/experts/amanda-sloat/

A Michigan native, Amanda Sloat's experience as a study abroad student has led her to a distinguished career in foreign policy. Since then, she has served in a range of sectors: academia and thinktanks, development (with time in warzones), international organizations, and the US government (Congress, White House, State Department). Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work in Brussels, Belfast, Baghdad, and beyond. She will share lessons learned from her study abroad experience, and answer your questions.
