Please join the department of Interdisciplinary, Gender, and Ethnic Studies as we welcome our new colleague, Dr. Tyler D. Parry, who will speak on the topic of "Reckoning with History: How UNLV Inspired My Intellectual Journey to Become a Professor." Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Parry began his intellectual journey at UNLV. In this presentation, he will discuss two of his current research projects: "Jumping the Broom," (a topic he first pursued as an undergraduate at UNLV), and "Interspecies Violence in Atlantic Slave Systems." Refreshments will be served.
