Humanizing Online STEM is a project funded by the California Education Learning Lab to make online undergraduate STEM courses more equitable by strengthening instructor-student relationships at a distance. This project has resulted in the creation of a six-week online academy  with preliminary results showing the academy linked with student belonging, increased faculty self-efficacy with online teaching, heightened awareness of students' individual experiences, and more. 

The Office of Online Education is hosting a live viewing party of the streaming Humanizing Online STEM Summit on Wednesday, May 4 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in-person (in MAB) and virtually. This event will give us the opportunity to introduce the Humanizing Online STEM Academy and receive feedback from attendees as to their interest in implementing in the academy at UNLV.
